Calling All Young Makers!
This November, Commonwealth Academy and the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library will host the first Annual Young Makers Market! Students can create their own products, set their pricing, engage with customers, and sell to the local community!
Have something you’ve made, designed, or created? Reserve a booth and share it with the community! Booth spots are limited, you must apply to participate!
Application deadline: November 1, 2026
Market Rules:
1. Participants must be in grades K-12 or ages 5-18.
2. Students must create their products themselves. Parents can provide limited support to younger students.
3. Items should be handmade—no reselling mass-produced commercial goods or selling items on behalf of adults.
4. No food items.
5. Parents must stay on-site and may help set up or supervise for safety, but should not talk to customers, negotiate prices, or handle transactions directly. Parents of younger children can assist, but should allow their child to lead!
6. No multi-level marketing (MLM) items, dangerous objects/weapons, live animals, or trademarked/licensed logo merchandise.
7. Items must all fit on a 3'x3' section of table (storage space underneath).
8. We welcome children with disabilities or special needs to participate with any necessary parental assistance!
Once you submit your application, we will send you an email with additional event details!
